Who we are AFCNA is an incorporated, registered charitable health professional organisation. It commenced in 1996 to support the specialty of Faith Community Nursing. AFCNA educates, develops, and supports Faith Community Nurses and promotes care of the whole person by the faith community. AFCNA is a member of the Council of National Nursing and Midwifery Organisations (CoNNMO) in Australia. | Our mission We will be the lead professional association in Australia to educate, develop, and support Faith Community Nurses to provide holistic nursing services to their faith community, and the people that faith community serves. We will advance Faith Community Care within Australian Christian faith communities, and prepare people to bring effective, compassionate care to the most vulnerable in their community. | JOIN THE ASSOCIATION

Member benefits AFCNA membership is open to Christian people who embrace AFCNA’s vision, mission and purpose of facilitating quality, community care via our faith communities. Our current members come from nursing, allied health and medical professionals, faith-based service providers in aged care, disability care, community care, health care, schools and churches. We also welcome members with lived experience, interested citizens, students, academics, policymakers who bring their unique knowledge and experience to our shared purpose. 10 Great Reasons to Be a Member 1.
